Fall is Here!

I don't know about you but I love the fall season. Not as much as I love to see spring, after the cold winter weather. But Falls is my second fav. season ;-). This is our first fall here on the mountain and I have to say I am a bit nervous about winter here. It seems colder up here and the wind NEVER stops blowing.lol We had a crazy winter last year with very cold temps and lots of snow. This year, from what I have read we can expect more of the same. Last winter, when we were looking at this house to buy, there would be snow more snow up here and it took longer to melt. So I guess we will see. I have to admit that it is kinda cool to live where others come to see the fall leaves. I can wait to go around Little River Canyon and get some pretty fall pictures. I hope the leaves really show off this year! We have had some really cool weather lately. Our lows have been around 37*F but our highs have been getting up into the 60's and 70's so the day is usually good. I have had the fireplace on the last few days, they brought our gas last week so I guess we are ready to see what the winter holds for us.

School is going good. I am so proud of my kids and the progress they are making. Tiffany is already into her 10th grade classes where she is supposed to be in 8th grade. The other two are moving right along also. The kids have never really wanted to get involved in anything but this year they are all wanting to everything. I hope I can keep up. They LOVE this 4-H club they have joined. They did Geo-caching their first meeting and photography will be next. They are also joining a horse club where they learn about horses and their care, and maybe some riding. They have several things planned for this month and they are very excited!

I know all of this seems kind of boring but if I blog I can look back and say, oh, we were doing this last year or we went there, etc.. I should really print all of these goofy posts out. My kids would enjoy these when they are older.lol They can see proof I have always been a little crazy :-P

I will try to get some pics. on here soon. Maybe a pic of my fall flowers I planted , a horse or chicken or two. I will see what I can find ya'll to look at. I think I need a few more animals around here (I am working on that)!
