Survival

It is a little cool on the mountain this morning. It was 48*F When I woke up at 5 am. and that may not seem cool but after days in 80's, it felt it.High of 54*F today and low around 37*F. I find the season changing amazing. How nice it is to have a slow transition for one season to another.

I survived another Birthday! Yay! I am now 38.... inching may way to the doomed 40.lol My husband turned 40 this last year and he hasn't feel apart yet so I am thinking I may survive that one too!In fact I don't think it has slowed him down any! Kind of funny, the way people think about that 40 age mark. Like it is a magic #, never understood that one. The older I get, the older OLD is! I remember when we in our teens we would cruise are town on weekends and there was a creepy OLD guy that use to cruise' town among us teens. He must have been at LEAST 30 years old! So funny to think back on that now.

School is going very good. I am pleased. The kids have joined 4-H club this year. A friend of mine is their leader and she does a great job with them. They love it. I always thought 4-H was about animals and farming. But it is so much more. The kids have went to a pumpkin carving workshop/ contest, they did win 1st and 2ed place and 3rd was also won by my friends son. This was the first time for them carving a pumpkin and a first contest ever for them also. Then we went Geo-caching with the group and the kids had toooo much fun! We walked and searched for 4 hours. The bed felt REALLY good that night! They also joining a horse club, we haven't meet with them yet so we will see how that goes. I am so thankful for our new found friendships!

I have to say that the kids have really taken to living here. It was their first move ever and I was a little unsure of it at first. But they seem to love it here and that makes me feel better. I don't have a doubt on my end as far as what I feel like is right for me. But everyone else is what matters when you are a wife and mom!We still have family that think we are crazy for moving. Some think there is some "reason" why we moved. But the only reason is because we wanted to.lol No Secret! Besides I am only an hour away! You would think we moved across country. So for now we are all here and enjoying it...who knows what will be on down the road for us. I don't think I will move anywhere colder than here...but...I do love the beach ;-)
